Laurie Savlov is a senior Jungian analyst and case supervisor with a private Jungian analysis or psychoanalysis practice in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Jungian analysis is a way of self-knowledge. Laurie works with a wide range of mental health and life problems. He uses an imaginative and creative approach, with warmth, that suits many people.
Laurie uses Jungian analysis techniques that C. G. Jung developed from Freud's ideas of psychoanalysis. It is what contemporary Freudian psychoanalysts have often adopted using different language, that is, analysis of the personal and collective levels of the unconscious incorporating awareness of the Self.
Laurie is a senior analyst member of the Ontario Association of Jungian Analysts (OAJA), the Independent Group of Analytical Psychologists (IGAP), the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP), and is a Clinical Member OSP, the Ontario Society of Psychotherapists. In addition, he is a member of EMDR Canada and a Full Member of EMDRIA.
Laurie Savlov is the past Director of Training of the OAJA Jungian Analyst Training Programme in Toronto.
Laurie lectures and leads seminars and workshops as a faculty member of the C. G. Jung Foundation of Ontario. He has been a sessional Professor at Wilfrid Laurier University on "Psychology and Religion." Also, Laurie Savlov is a case supervisor for practicing and training analysts and therapists.
He holds a Diploma in analytical psychology, a Diploma in business administration, and Honours B.A. and Masters degrees in Religion and Culture. Also, he holds a certificate in EMDR Therapy. Laurie is a European-trained Jungian analyst incorporating both "classical Jungian" and "archetypal psychology" in his practice.
